Instead of St Michael’s being a church that gathers for worship, teaching each Sunday, we are better described as being a church where everyone is involved in one way or another with God’s mission.  Mission is our main thing.  Worship, teaching, community and discipleship come after.  Not that they are unimportant.  Absoulutely not.  But rather than starting with these things we start with God’s mission, his love for our community and for its people, and try to get involved with his purposes as they become clear.  To do that we are forming numerous small groups all with different purposes and missions of their own, all hoping to love God and love neighbour and to invite others to join us as we follw Jesus and build our lives upon him and we call these IMPACT TEAMS

• The Rec House
  A community aiming to connect with young people through the creative arts – music, drama, art, dance etc – and based at ‘The Rec House’ next to the Full Moon Pub.
• Rose Cottage Community
  A community that seeks to bless the wider community through a community centre and cafe.
• Repairers of walls
  A community which aims to make an impact on the physical surroundings around Twerton, clearing gardens, painting, repairing, mending, fixing.
• Never too old
  A community that reaches out to elderly people in Twerton through visiting, help with shopping, trips, community events.
• More than a school
  A community dedicated to blessing the school, the kids, the parents and the staff.
